A Palestinian was wounded by Israeli fire in northern Gaza as the death toll from the Israeli offensive rises.

A Palestinian man was wounded on Monday by Israeli army fire inside the Khalifa School in the Beit Lahia area of northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced earlier today that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Strip has risen to 72,263 martyrs and 171,944 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The sources explained that hospitals in the Strip received nine martyrs during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, including one who succumbed to his wounds, in addition to 30 wounded.

They indicated that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 687, while the number of wounded has reached 1,845, and 756 bodies have been recovered.

The same sources confirmed that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them so far.

وفي سياق متصل، أعلنت مصادر طبية في قطاع غزة، في وقت سابق من اليوم، ارتفاع حصيلة عدوان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على القطاع إلى 72,263 شهيداً و171,944 مصاباً، منذ السابع من تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر 2023.

وأوضحت المصادر أن مستشفيات القطاع استقبلت خلال أيام عيد الفطر تسعة شهداء، بينهم شهيد متأثراً بإصابته، إضافة إلى 30 إصابة.

وأشارت إلى أن إجمالي الشهداء منذ وقف إطلاق النار في 11 تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر الماضي ارتفع إلى 687 شهيداً، فيما بلغ عدد الإصابات 1,845، في حين جرى انتشال 756 جثماناً.

وأكدت المصادر ذاتها أن عدداً من الضحايا ما يزالون تحت الركام وفي الطرقات، في ظل عجز طواقم الإسعاف والدفاع المدني عن الوصول إليهم حتى اللحظة.
