Deir ez-Zor Governorate: International Coalition forces, with the participation of a group from the Free Syrian Army faction, carried out an airdrop operation targeting a site where ISIS members and leaders were holed up in the Jabal al-Bishri area, within the Syrian desert in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor. The operation resulted in the deaths of a number of ISIS leaders, whose identities are still unknown. According to SOHR sources, the operation followed about a week of intensive aerial and ground surveillance of the area, based on information received about an anticipated meeting of prominent ISIS leaders inside the mountain. The operation witnessed direct clashes with ISIS members, amid information indicating that Coalition forces seized documents from the operation site, likely related to the organization's movements and plans in the Syrian desert. This operation is considered one of the most prominent security strikes to have targeted ISIS in recent times, in an area that continues to constitute a fertile environment for their movements, taking advantage of the rugged terrain and the difficulty of security control.

محافظة دير الزور: نفذت قوات التحالف الدولي، بمشاركة مجموعة من فصيل “جيش سوريا الحرة”، عملية إنزال جوي استهدفت موقعاً يتحصن فيه عناصر وقياديون من تنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية” في منطقة جبل البشري، ضمن البادية السورية بريف دير الزور الغربي، ما أسفر عن مقتل عدد من قياديي التنظيم، فيما لم تُعرف هوياتهم حتى اللحظة.

ووفقاً لمصادر المرصد السوري، جاءت العملية عقب نحو أسبوع من المراقبة والرصد الجوي والبري المكثف للمنطقة، بناءً على معلومات وردت عن اجتماع مرتقب لقياديين بارزين في “التنظيم” داخل الجبل.

وقد شهدت العملية اشتباكات مباشرة مع عناصر “التنظيم”، وسط معلومات تشير إلى استحواذ قوات “التحالف” على وثائق من موقع العملية، يُرجّح أنها تتعلق بتحركات وخطط “التنظيم” في البادية السورية.

وتُعد هذه العملية من أبرز الضربات الأمنية التي طالت “التنظيم” في الآونة الأخيرة، في منطقة لا تزال تشكل بيئة خصبة لتحركاتهم، مستفيدين من وعورة التضاريس وصعوبة السيطرة الأمنية عليها.
