Idlib Governorate: The International Coalition carried out a precision airdrop operation at dawn today in the Atmeh camps, north of Idlib, targeting a house where a prominent first-rank ISIS leader known as "Abu Hafs al-Qurashi" was hiding.
Several helicopters took off from the Sarrin Airport in the Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) countryside. Special forces were deployed heavily in the surrounding streets, while General Security forces imposed a security cordon around the area. The attacking forces opened fire and imposed strict security measures on residents near the targeted site.
The attacking forces were able to seize control of the area and arrest the leader. The fate of the women of non-Syrian nationalities who were with him is unknown, whether they were arrested by General Security or the International Coalition.
Local sources also reported that General Security removed a body from the targeted site after the operation, which lasted approximately an hour and a half, before the aircraft departed the area. Abu Hafs al-Qurashi is known to be of Iraqi nationality and is considered one of the most prominent figures active within the organization, having been tasked with recruiting foreign fighters and facilitating their movements within Syria.

محافظة إدلب: نفذ طيران “التحالف الدولي” فجر اليوم عملية إنزال جوي دقيقة في مخيمات أطمة شمال إدلب، استهدفت منزلاً كان يختبئ بداخله قيادي بارز في الصف الأول لدى تنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية” يُعرف باسم “أبو حفص القرشي”.
شارك في العملية عدة مروحيات انطلقت من مطار صرين بريف عين العرب (كوباني)، فيما انتشرت قوات خاصة بكثافة في الشوارع المحيطة، بالتزامن مع فرض الأمن العام طوقاً أمنياً حول المنطقة، وسط إطلاق نار من قبل العناصر المقتحمة وإجراءات أمنية مشددة على السكان قرب الموقع المستهدف.
وتمكنت القوات المهاجمة من السيطرة على المكان واعتقال القيادي، ولا يعلم مصير نساء من جنسيات غير سورية كنّ برفقته، إذا ما تم اعتقالهن من قيل الأمن العام أو “التحالف الدولي”.
كما أفادت مصادر محلية بأن الأمن العام أخرج جثة من الموقع المستهدف بعد انتهاء العملية التي استمرت نحو ساعة ونصف قبل مغادرة الطائرات المنطقة.
ويُعرف “أبو حفص القرشي” بأنه من الجنسية العراقية، ويُعتبر من أبرز الشخصيات الناشطة في صفوف التنظيم، حيث تولى مهمة تجنيد المقاتلين الأجانب وتسهيل تحركاتهم داخل سوريا.
