Families of 3 crew missing in Hormuz explosion desperate for answers
Some family members have turned to social media for potential updates out of desperation, citing a paucity of official information since the UAE-flagged Mussafah II exploded on March 6.

The families of three Indonesian sailors missing after the tugboat Musaffah II exploded in the Strait of Hormuz are still waiting for news about their loved ones as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East.

Sri Dewi Aisyah, the wife of Musaffah II's chief engineer Sirajuddin, said she continued to cling to the hope that her husband had survived the incident and that authorities will persist in their efforts to find him.

“I hope the Indonesian government and my husband’s company will help reunite me with my husband. Please don’t stop searching,” Sri said in a television interview broadcast on Thursday.

She said her family had received little information about the search operation since the incident on March 6.

“I frequently contact officials at the Indonesian embassies in the [United Arab Emirates] and Oman to ask about progress in the search, but the response is always the same: ‘We are still looking,’” she added.

“After the incident, the Indonesian Embassy in Muscat, Oman, contacted us only once to inform us about the explosion. Since then, we have not received any official updates. All we can do now is wait,” she said on Wednesday, as quoted by Tribunnews.com.
