في إطار المتابعة المستمرة للحادث الذي تم الإعلان عنه سابقاً في منشآت حَبشان للغاز والناجم عن سقوط شظايا إثر الاعتراض الناجح من قبل الدفاعات الجوية، تؤكد الجهات المختصة أن حريقين اندلعا في الموقع، وقد باشرت فرق الاستجابة للطوارئ التعامل مع الحادث بسرعة وكفاءة عالية، وتمت السيطرة على الوضع.
أسفر هذا الحادث عن وفاة شخص من الجنسية المصرية خلال إخلاء الموقع، كما أصيب أربعة أشخاص بإصابات بسيطة، اثنان من الجنسية الباكستانية واثنان من الجنسية المصرية.
