In a precise airstrike, US aircraft targeted al-Qaeda leader Salem Qasim al-Marqashi and his companions in Wadi al-Naseel, Mudiyah district, Abyan governorate.

The strike followed intensive surveillance and tracking of al-Marqashi's movements. He is considered a prominent leader responsible for carrying out terrorist operations in the region.
