Following up on last night's security operation in the Maadan area, a man named Abdul Mahmoud al-Ahmad and his wife were killed by joint forces after an altercation. According to local sources, the man was accused of belonging to the Islamic State (ISIS). The operation took place in the al-Naamat area on the outskirts of Maadan, near the administrative border with Raqqa.

Coalition aircraft remained in the area until dawn and then departed this morning. A second house was also raided in the village of al-Mastaha, near Maadan, which is administratively part of the western Deir ez-Zor countryside. No further details are available.

طيران «التحالف الدولي» بقي حتى الفجر في المنطقة ثم غادر صباح اليوم. كما جرى مداهمة منزل ثاني في قرية المسطاحة قرب معدان والتابعة إدارياً لريف دير الزور الغربي - ليس هناك تفاصيل أخرى حولها.
