The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor's field team documented the Israeli occupation forces opening fire on thousands of civilians who gathered at dawn on Sunday in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, near an aid point set up by the Israeli army. The preliminary toll has not yet been finalized, with at least 31 civilians killed, including two women. More than 200 others were injured, and an unspecified number remain missing. The death toll is expected to rise due to the large number of critical injuries and the severe deterioration in healthcare services due to the blockade and Israeli targeting of the medical system. The Israeli occupation forces and the American organization it founded directed Palestinians to receive aid from the area, asking them to wait until 6:00 a.m. to pass through the inspection gates to obtain the aid. They were then targeted with direct fire from quadcopter drones, followed by tank shells. Members of the American company also fired tear gas canisters at the starving crowds, resulting in dozens of casualties and a massive stampede to escape death and gunfire.

وثّق فريق المرصد الأورومتوسطي الميداني إطلاق جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي النار تجاه آلاف المدنيين الذين تجمعوا فجر اليوم الأحد في رفح جنوبي قطاع #غزة، قرب نقطة مساعدات أقامها الجيش الإسرائيلي، ما أدّى إلى مقتل نحو 31 مدنيًا – بينهم امرأتان – على الأقل في حصيلة أولية غير نهائية وإصابة أكثر من 200 آخرين بجروح، وفقدان عدد آخر غير محدد، فيما تبقى أعداد القتلى مرشحة للارتفاع نظرًا لوجود عدد كبير من الإصابات الخطرة، والتدني الحاد في مستوى الرعاية الصحية بسبب الحصار والاستهداف الإسرائيلي للمنظومة الطبية. جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي والمنظمة الأمريكية التي أسسها وجّها الفلسطينيين لاستلام مساعدات من المنطقة، وطلب منهم الانتظار حتى الساعة السادسة صباح اليوم، للمرور عبر بوابات التفتيش للحصول على المساعدات، قبل أن يستهدفهم بإطلاق نار مباشر من طائرات "كوادكابتر" المسيّرة، ومن ثم بقذائف الدبابات، إلى جانب إطلاق عناصر الشركة الأمريكية قنابل الغاز على جموع المُجوَّعين، ما أدى إلى وقوع عشرات الضحايا وحدوث تدافع كبير للهروب من الموت وإطلاق النار.
