A first ballistic missile hit the home of Shifra Dayan, 62, in Rishon Lezion at the start of the war with Iran.

After her home was destroyed, she moved to her son’s house in Petah Tikva, but just two days later, another missile destroyed his home.

“To feel it twice, once in my home and once in my son’s, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”

Despite everything, Shifra remains positive: “Now people want to play the lottery with me.”

Shifra is the embodiment of Israeli resilience.
