Specialized units in rural Damascus, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Directorate and the International Coalition forces, conducted a security operation in the town of al-Buwaydah.

The operation resulted in the neutralization of the terrorist Muhammad Shahada, also known as "Abu Omar Shaddad," a leader of ISIS and the "governor of Hauran."
