Tanker targeted off Oman coast Oman’s Maritime Security Centre confirmed that the oil tanker #Skylight was targeted five nautical miles north of Khasab Port in Musandam. #MarineTraffic data indicate the Palau flagged vessel arrived on 22 February and remained in ballast. The tanker was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on 18 December 2025, citing links to Red Sea Ship Management LLC, according to #Kpler Risk and Compliance. The last signal was received at 03.00 UTC. All 20 crew members, including 15 Indian and five Iranian nationals, were evacuated, with four sustaining injuries and transferred for medical treatment. The crew boat Panicker arrived at the incident a few hours later and remains at the scene.
