The regional security environment remains volatile, with ongoing military activity and continued threat to commercial shipping. INCIDENT NO. ADVISORY 003-26 UPDATE 002 INCIDENT TIME 1000UTC WARNING 004-26 SKYLIGHT 0900UTC WARNING 005-26 MKD VYOM 0950UTC WARNING 006-26 HERCULES STAR 0805UTC INCIDENT DETAIL UKMTO is aware of significant military activity in the following areas; Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, North Arabian Sea and the Strait of Hormuz. Mariners should note the potential for elevated electronic interference, including disruption to AIS and other navigational or communications systems. UKMTO has received a report of an incident 2NM north of Kumzar, Oman. The crew have been evacuated and safe. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO. UKMTO has received a report of an incident 50NM north of Muscat, Oman. It has been reported over VHF Channel 16 that the vessel has been struck by an unknown projectile above the waterline. Although the engine room was originally reported as on fire it has now been reported that the fire is under control. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO. UKMTO has received a report of an incident 17NM northwest of Mina Saqr, United Arab Emirates. The Company Security Officer reported that the vessel had been struck by an unknown projectile causing a fire. The fire has been extinguished.
