On Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, a woman was reportedly injured by alleged Turkish artillery shelling on the village of Kawekli (Al-Kauakli), in the western countryside of Manbij in the province of Aleppo, Syria.

Several sources said the woman was in her house when the strike occurred, but further details about her identity were not reported at the time of writing. The injured woman was transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment

Photos posted from a number of sources show that the strike damaged at least one civilian house in Kawekli. Fox Press and Kurdish Forces Facebook accounts shared an image showing remnants of the weapons that had been used.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Turkish military.
