On the morning of Friday, 17th November 2023, a number of civilians, including a woman, were injured as a result of artillery shelling allegedly perpetrated by Syrian regime forces and/or Russian military and/or Iranian military on the civilian homes in the village of Bazabour (alternatively spelled as Bzabour or Bazzabour), located in the southern countryside of Idlib in the area of Jabal Zawiya, Syria.

At 9:11 AM the Twitter/X user @Almohrar1 reported civilian casualties as a result of the attack on Bazabour, and at 9:33 Syrian Civil Defense wrote about the injury of a woman, describing the injuries as “lightly”. Other news agencies, such as Damas Post, Syrian Press Center, and Syria Urgent, also reported the injuries.

It is not clear which forces perpetrated the attack as the Syrian Civil Defence and Syria Urgent attributed the shelling to the Syrian regime forces, while the Social Journalism Centre and the Syrian Press Center attributed it to the Russian military. Other Facebook and Twitter/X users (including the account called “The roaring of the Syrian revolution”) cited Russian as well as Iranian military as responsible for the attack.
