In a wood furniture manufacturing facility located in the western outskirts of the Idlib area, Syria, at least one civilian was killed and five others, including a child and an elderly man, were injured in one of the four airstrikes reportedly perpetrated by Russian warplanes shortly before 9:03 AM on Thursday, February 29th, 2024.

The preliminary toll indicated that one person had been killed and two others had been injured, but later on, the Syrian Civil Defense Twitter/X account reported five injuries. According to the SCD, among the victims were a young boy and an elderly man who were subsequently treated in a hospital. In addition, the fire that broke out on motorcycles at the location was extinguished, and the area was inspected.

A civilian took the elderly man on a motorcycle to a civilian car and then transported him to the hospital to attend to his leg, which was injured by shrapnel from the missiles. No further information regarding the other victims was disclosed.

Multiple videos and pictures posted by the sources revealed the huge gray cloud of smoke rising in the air after the impact. The facility was destroyed from one side, significant debris surrounded the scene and burned motorcycles and a tractor were left over, as well as many pieces of furniture inside the building.
