On August 1st, 2024, two young civilian men were allegedly injured by Turkish snipers near the village of Al-Sharika adjacent to the international road M4 in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa, Raqqa region, Syria.

A photo released by the ANF news outlet showed the victims lying on stretchers receiving treatment. Mohsen Haritim Al-Jawwa, a 25-year-old man with short curly brown hair, and a beard, was wearing a grey polo shirt and covered with a striped white and blue blanket. The other victim was Aziz Salibi Al-Nahar, a 23-year-old man with short curly dark hair and a mustache, wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt and was covered with a white blanket while resting.

The victims were transferred to a hospital in Raqqa and their medical condition was reportedly stable.

The sources all indicated the Turkish military was the perpetrator of the attack.
