At dawn on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Turkish military allegedly shelled with heavy artillery al-Hasha village located in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa city, north of Raqqa, Syria. The attack reportedly led to the injury of two civilians who were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The incident was reported by news outlets and organizations, including the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and ANF News.

While the identity of the victims remains unclear, the artillery shelling caused damage to the medium-voltage cables that fed the al-Hasha water station. This station serves as an important supplier for 50 villages in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa city and for those affiliated with al-Hasha. As a result, many people experienced significant water cut-offs and power outages as reported by ANF News. Consequently, the authorities of the Euphrates province reported the repairs were currently underway.

All of the sources identified reported that the Turkish military was responsible for the attack.
