At dawn or during the night of November 26, 2024, an alleged Israeli airstrike struck the al-Baidar neighbourhood of the village (town) of Aba in the Nabatieh District of southern Lebanon, reportedly killing two Hezbollah militants identified as Ibrahim Ali Tarhini and Ali Kamel Suleiman, and injuring up to nine civilians.

According to multiple sources, including Almada News, Tayyar.org, and PalinfoAr, the airstrike hit two houses in the al-Baidar neighbourhood, resulting in their destruction and causing significant damage to nearby homes.

The Lebanese News Agency, as reported by PalinfoAr, Safa.ps, and Palcampnews, was among the first to state that two people were killed, and nine others injured in the attack. The civilian status of the injured is unknown at the time of writing.

A Facebook post by Hicham Tarhini contained a photo of the late Ibrahim in a military uniform and a bulletproof vest. The photo was accompanied by the Hezbollah logo and had an inscription “The Martyr Mujahid Allah Ibrahim Ali Tarhini”. Based on this evidence, Airwars considers him a militant.

A post on Twitter/X by @Mohamaddsyrien stated that Ali Kamel Suleiman had previously fought in Iraq, sharing an image of him carrying a gun in an armoured vehicle. The post also contained a photo of the late Ali in a military uniform, carrying a gun. The photo was accompanied by the Hezbollah logo and had an inscription “The Martyr Mujahid Ali Kamel Suleiman”. Based on this evidence, Airwars considers him a militant.

Where sources identified responsibility for the strike, all attributed it to the Israeli military.

The exact local time of the airstrike is unknown. While the Palestinian Information Center (@PalinfoAr) reported the incident on Twitter/X at 8:36 AM, and the agency Safa at 8:31 AM, the website Almada.org claimed that the attack happened at night. Twitter/X user @EanLibya stated that the incident happened at dawn.
