Airwars Assessment
At least one civilian was wounded in an incident attributed to the Israeli airforce in Hanouiyeh, a village in southern Lebanon’s Tyre District on September 26, 2024.
Citing the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health, many news outlets reported that one person had been wounded in the village in Israeli “raids” on the district; Airwars considers “raids” as airstrikes.
No information was found identifying the individual wounded in the incident nor confirming whether there were further casualties. Due to the circularity of the reporting – where one source repeats exact information from earlier sources – Airwars has graded this as a single-source claim. Due to the lack of information on the victims civilian harm status of the incident has been graded as weak.
