Shortly before 9 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, alleged Israeli machine gun fire injured two people near the Governmental Hospital in Bint Jbeil in Southern Lebanon. The attack was reportedly launched from Maroun al-Ras.

The Twitter/X account @Sa7atPl reported the incident at 9:09 a.m.

Naji T. Bouhabib posted on Facebook that the two injured citizens were shot during a funeral, while the Al Jadeed news outlet shared that the gunfire was at the entrance to the city. Videos on Facebook show two injured men, one of whom has a leg covered in blood.

The attack happened after the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, and the voice in a video shared on Facebook by Naji T. Bouhabib kept repeating, “Where is the ceasefire? The people are wounded!”

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the shooting to the Israeli military.
