Airwars Assessment
During the morning of Thursday, October 24th, 2024, a young child was injured as a result of an alleged drone strike by the Turkish military. The incident took place in the city center of Kobani, Syria, with public and service facilities reportedly damaged.
A girl named Nadia Mustafa, who was three years old, was injured and received treatment at Kobani Hospital. Hawar News and Roj News reported on the events and included a photo of Nadia with her left foot and right arm bandaged lying on a hospital bed.
Roj News also reported on the incident. It was stated that since the previous night, the “Turkish occupation army has been launching air and ground strikes on various areas in the Euphrates Canton with heavy weapons and drones.” ROJ News also noted that a checkpoint for the Internal Security Forces had received damage, in addition to the automatic bakery and the power station.
Hawar News also claimed that four members of the Internal Security Forces were injured, and one killed in the strike while ROJ News reported about three injured.
Both ROJ News and Hawar News attributed the strike to the Turkish military.
