On October 25, 2024, at least two and up to four civilians, including two children, were injured at the Aoun Dadat crossing in the northern countryside of Manbij Canton, Syria, as a result of artillery shelling and/or drone strikes allegedly perpetrated by the Turkish military. Sources differed on the identity and number of civilians injured by the strike.

According to Nodum News, four people were injured, while Manbij News reported that a woman and a child were injured, in addition to three soldiers.

Other sources, including Hawarnews, ANF News, and ANHA, reported that the strike injured two children. The two children were named Mahmoud Ali Shaaban and Muhammad Shaaban Al-Afin, aged five and 15, respectively. Hawarnews and ANF News both said that the children were transferred to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and shared a photo of a teenager sitting cross-legged on a hospital bed with his left arm bandaged.

The sources differed on the nature of the attack. While most of the sources reported the artillery shelling, the Fox Press Facebook account alleged that a Turkish drone had hit the Aoun Dadat crossing.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources identified the belligerent as the Turkish military.
