On the evening of November 27, 2024,  a 17-year-old boy, Mustafa Barakat Hassan, was injured during an alleged Turkish artillery shelling on the Thokar village in the Manbij countryside east of Aleppo, Syria.

The Aleppo government, ANF news, ROJ news, and the media centre of the Manbij Military Council, as well as other social media and news outlets, reported that on the incident, stating that Turkish forces and their factions in the region shelled Thokar in an area controlled by the Manbij Military Council forces.

After being injured in the shelling, the 17-year-old boy was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. The website of Ronahi TV shared an image of a young boy lying on a hospital bed with a bandage on his stomach. Also, the source reported that the shelling occurred in the evening, according to the information from the Manbij Military Council.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Turkish military and affiliated militias.
