Twitter/X user @Mohamad18087077 reported the attack on the al-Arba’in neighborhood of Hama at 9:56 a.m.
The identities of the victims are not known at the time of writing. According to the sources, several homes suffered severe damage from barrel bombs dropped by warplanes.
The images taken by Mahmoud Al-Abed and shared by Mohammed Doshka on Facebook showed the devastating consequences of the attack on the residential neighbourhood – the residential buildings were severely damaged, with a lot of debris and rubble on the ground.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all but one source attributed the strike to the Syrian military, which allegedly carried out the attack with helicopters. Twitter/X user @Mohamad18087077 reported that the perpetrator of the strike was the Russian military, which allegedly used vacuum missiles. Therefore, Airwars had graded the strike status as “contested strike” and the civilian harm status as “contested.”
