On the morning of Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at least eight people from the Suleiman family, including two women and two children, were killed by an alleged Turkish airstrike or drone strike on their family house in the Safiya village, in the western countryside of Ain Issa in the north of Raqqa, Syria.

The Hawar News and Rojnews provided the names of the eight victims who were killed in the attack, including two women and two children: Kahlil Suleiman, Waddah Suleiman, Muhammad Al-Abou, Abdul Karim Al-Abou, Dalal Suleiman, Nadia Suleiman, Jassim Suleiman and Hussam Suleiman.

The Raqqa Governorate stated that Turkish drones committed a massacre that killed eight civilians, including women, during a bombing that hit their home in the village of Safiya in the western countryside of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa.

Images obtained by Hawar News correspondent and shared by other media outlets, including ANF news and Kobani 24’s Facebook pages, illustrated the horrific massacre where the dead bodies of multiple family members were lying in the rubble.

Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Turkish military. According to Hawar News and ANF News, the incident happened in the morning.
