On July 15, 2025, Shamstar Public High School in Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, Lebanon was reportedly bombed in an alleged Israeli airstrike during final exams. The blast shattered glass and caused panic among students. Images circulated online showed school buildings with smoke in the background. According to some sources, two people were killed in Shamshtar, though it is unclear who they were or if they were at the school. Due to the lack of detail in the sources, the civilian harm status has been graded “weak” until further information becomes available.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli forces.
