Alleged Iranian missile strikes which hit the Gush Dan/Tel Aviv area of Israel reportedly resulted in the injury of over 100 people, including two children, on June 16, 2025.
YNet News reported that early Monday June 16th, residential areas in Tel Aviv were struck in direct hits from Iranian missile strikes and “over 100 people were injured in the city, including a 10-year-old boy in serious condition and a newborn baby.” The article detailed that the injured newborn baby was brought to medical crews by friends of the baby’s mother who stayed with the baby until “she rushed over, still in pain from recent surgery, saying she had been delayed retrieving medications.” According to YNet News, one of the missiles also exploded near the U.S. Embassy compound and that Ambassador Mike Huckabee confirmed that while the embassy had sustained minor damage, no personnel were injured.
A post from @kann_news on Twitter/X reported that there were four “crash sites” from Iranian missiles in Gush Dan, adding that a serious injury had occurred and a fire had broken out at one of the sites.
Images published by YNet News and @kann_news show damage to residential buildings, clouds of smoke rising over the Tel Aviv skyline, and the newborn infant being treated by paramedics.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources identified Iranian forces as responsible.
