Airwars Assessment
On the morning of Saturday, June 21, 2025, sources were conflicted as to whether casualties occurred as a result of shrapnel from an intercepted Iranian missile falling on the roof of a three-story residential building at Struma Square near Golda Meir Street in Holon, a suburb of Tel Aviv in central Israel.
Twitter/X account @HaidarAkarar reported “casualties and trapped individuals” in Tel Aviv and shared videos showing a building engulfed in flames, and people gathering around it. @MiddleEastEye shared a similar video, showing the fire engulfing the roof.
Israel’s Fire and Rescue Service reported the fire and that it was extinguished. Magen David Adom medics were reportedly on site, and stated that no injuries had been reported.
@Mdais on Twitter/X reported fire on the roof of a building, adding the images showing the firefighters and paramedics surrounding the building.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Iranian missile that was intercepted by the Israeli military. As the existence of civilian harm was directly contested by at least one source, the civilian harm of this incident has been graded as “contested”.
