Seven to fifteen civilians including three children and two women were killed and ten more injured in alleged Russian airstrikes on Kafr Hamra, according to local sources.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that “alleged Russian warplanes shelled the residential houses in Kafr Hamra town in northern Aleppo suburbs which killed 7 individuals including 2 children and 2 women.” They said that most of the victims were from a displaced family.
The White Helmets published a video entitled ‘the massacre of Kafr Hamra 26/2/2016‘. At 0’20” into the video, a civil defence member says there were more than 20 Russian strikes on Kafr Hamra and that these were carried out around 11pm an hour before a truce was meant to start. He adds that the strikes were on residential buildings and that they had so far pulled six martyrs and two children that were still alive from under the rubble. A second video said that there were still two families under the rubble and that the search was continuing for the rest of those missing.
According to Syrian News Desk, 13 died – including children – and 10 more were wounded. A report by the Shaam News Network put the death toll even higher, at 15, including three families.
Four victims were named by the Violations Documentation Centre including 2 unidentified male children.
