A Children’s Protection Centre in Khan al-Sheikh camp was reportedly struck and “almost totally destroyed” in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes. Local sources added that the shelling also destroyed houses, killing four civilians and wounding five more.

According to the Shaam News Network, “Russian planes launched air raids on farms and on the outskirts of Khan al Sheikh camp in the western countryside”.

According to sources, the wounded were in a “critical condition”. Damascus Media Centre mentioned that the majority of the people wounded were women.

Local news networks and residents reported the warplanes to be Russian, with some speculation of the Syrian regime.

The Palestinian Refugee Portal claim that there are 120,000 Palestinian refugees and 4,000 displaced Syrian refugees living in Khan al Sheikh camp.
