A brother and sister, 33-year-old Hassan Ramadan Hassan Abu Daqqa and Madeleine Ramadan Hassan Abu Daqqa were killed along with Madeline’s daughter, Malak Nahi, in Gaza on 14 June 2025. No source identified a belligerent within the available reporting.
Members of the Abu Daqqa family were the first to announce the deaths on social media, with uncle A. Muhammad Abu Daqqa Abu Mahmoud identifying the three killed and asking that “God have mercy on them all.” Sami Abu Daqqa, a cousin, shared a similar sentiment, writing that Hassan, Madeleine and Malak had “joined the ranks of the martyrs of our family.” Muhammad Musa also viewed their deaths as part of a greater tragedy the wider family had experienced, lamenting that the “series of martyrs continues, one after another, from our family.” He specified that Hassan and Madeleine had lost a brother, Bahaa, along with his wife and children, sometime prior. Two days later, on the 16th, A. Muhammad Abu Daqqa Abu Mahmoud wrote that Hassan and Madeleine’s father, Ramadan, was buried, and that before his death he had had to bury 14 members of his family.
Tsar Fadi Salem wrote that Hassan had been “targeted in the 2014 war” and subsequently “lived his life with one limb.” A photograph taken of Hassan at the Kabaa in Mecca show him as a wheelchair user. Tsar wrote that though Hassan’s “body [was] gone, but his legacy remains, a light that will never be extinguished.”
Hassan’s name has been matched with the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH) lists, which include national ID numbers. Airwars is matching individuals to the first list where their name appeared. In regard to this incident, names are matched to the tenth ‘Palestinian Ministry of Health List of Fatalities in Gaza’ list. While no other local sources identified a belligerent, as the MoH lists attributed those killed to Israeli forces, this incident has been graded as a “single source claim” until further information is found.
