Airwars assessment
Yaqein reported that one civilian was killed and 11 injured in the Noor neighborhood of eastern Mosul. It cited “government and international” strikes.
Iraqi Spring Media Center meanwhile reported that 9 civilians were injured in addition to the one death. Among the injured were women and children.
Sawlif Maslawia Ateka and Adhamiyah News named two children that reportedly died “after their house fell down and their mother and father were wounded in hospitals.” The girls were called Sonia and Harith.
The local time of the incident is unknown.

Attached to this civilian harm incident is a provisional reconciliation of the Pentagon's declassified assessment of this civilian harm allegation, based on matching date and locational information.
The declassified documents were obtained by Azmat Khan and the New York Times through Freedom of Information requests and lawsuits filed since March 2017, and are included alongside the corresponding press release published by the Pentagon. Airwars is currently analysing the contents of each file, and will update our own assessments accordingly.

For January 2nd-3rd publicly stated: “Near Mosul, three strikes engaged three ISIL tactical units; destroyed three buildings, a heavy machine gun, two mortars, a piece of engineering equipment, a VBIED, and a front-end loader; damaged 17 supply routes; and suppressed four mortar teams.”
For January 3rd-4th it noted: “Near Mosul, three strikes engaged two ISIL tactical units; destroyed two mortars, a tactical vehicle, and two command and control nodes; damaged two supply routes, and suppressed nine mortar teams and an ISIL tactical unit.”
