On October 10, 2025, 21-year-old Muhannad Mamdouh Khader Farwana (Abu Bilal) was killed in an alleged Israeli airstrike in Gaza City.
Following news of the incident, friends and family took to social media to mourn the loss of Muhannad. In a heartfelt tribute to the 21-year-old, Waseem Raef Safi recalled how the two had met at school and how kind the young man was. In the post he lamented how his death had left “an indescribable pain in [his] heart and unforgettable memories.”
In a similar tribute to his friend, Mosab Mamdouh, recalled how “Muhannad was not just a brother, but a pillar of support, a kind soul, and a voice that will never fade from our hearts. His body has departed, but his spirit will remain alive within us, in every prayer, in every memory, and in every moment we long for him.”
Muhannad’s name was found in the Genocide in Gaza (GiGaza) database, which stated that he was killed among “several other civilians”, putting the maximum killed at three.
Gigaza reported that Muhannad was killed in Gaza City. Similarly, a post shared by Jamal Awni Farwana connected Muhannad to Gaza City. The post also referred to the killing of a man named Nabil Abdul Hamed Farwana – likely a relative of Muhannad’s. However, the post refers to Nabil as being connected to Khan Younis, as does Nabil’s GiGaza page. As such, Nabil’s death has been recorded in a different incident (ISPT101025ha). This will be updated should additional information become available.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli forces. According to Genocide in Gaza, the strike(s) occurred without prior warning.
