Airwars assessment

A single source, Yagein, reported that civilians were killed following alleged US-led Coalition airstrikes on the areas of west Ramadi in central Anbar province.

A well-informed source who spoke to Yagein said Aircraft of the International Alliance carried out several air raids. The source added the bombing resulted in significant destruction in the areas, with reports of civilian deaths and injuries.

Specifics of the incident are currently unknown to Airwars. The entry will be added to when new information arises.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Reports of the incident mention the area west of the city of Ramadi (غرب الانبار), for which the coordinates are: 33.437441, 43.286666. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.

The declassified documents were obtained by Azmat Khan and the New York Times through Freedom of Information requests and lawsuits filed since March 2017, and are included alongside the corresponding press release published by the Pentagon.
