At least three airstrikes on Ariha killed between up to six civilians and wounded up to 20 more including five women, according to local media.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights and Smart News Agency attributed the shelling to regime warplanes.

The Smart News agency reported that “regime warplanes launched three raids on the city of Ariha in the southern countryside, killing five civilians and wounding 14 others, including five women”.

However, @811syria, @ShahbaPress and the Shaam News Network (SNN) were among other sources that blamed Russia. SNN put the death toll at six.

A video posted by The White Helmets showed the clouds of dust caused by the destruction of buildings, and the bodies of injured civilians being carried on stretchers. Reports said that the strikes hit the main market of the city.
