Between eight and 15 civilians, including women and children, were killed and between 20 and 25 civilians were wounded in airstrikes launched against the town of Kafr Naha in western Aleppo. Local sources were conflicted as to who was responsible for the airstrikes.

According to Mohammed Haj Hussein, a local media and civil defence correspondent, airstrikes were launched by Russian and Syrian regime aircraft during afternoon prayers, targeting both a mosque and civilian housing.

While Step News identified Russian and Syrian regime aircraft as launching attacks across the countryside of Aleppo, the majority of other sources, including HNN and the Local Coordinated Committee of Syria blamed Russian planes for being specifically responsible for the attacks on Kafr Naha.

Many of the civilians affected by the airstrikes were from the same family and most were women and children. An image posted by @TRTalarabiya showed a young child covered in blood from injuries sustained by the airstrikes.

According to Shaam Network, the bombs used in the airstrikes were highly explosive rockets that resulted in heavy casualties and damage.

Videos posted by Thiqa Agency and Alboazezi show the moment that the rocket was launched into the town and the destruction in the aftermath, including bodies of civilians laying in the streets. Immediately following, the civil defence teams went to the scene to rescue the injured from the rubble.

Many of those injured were reportedly in critical condition, which was made worse by the continued shelling and the difficulty in finding a nearby hospital.
