Between four and five civilians, including two children, were killed and 12 or more civilians were wounded in airstrikes on Al Shi’ar in Aleppo. The majority of sources did not identify who was to blame for the airstrikes but those that did, including Syrian Network for Human Rights and Syrian People’s Movement, attributed the airstrikes to Russian airplanes. A number of sources said that cluster bombs had been used in the attack.
Syrian People’s Movement reported that in addition to the human cost, the airstrikes “caused extensive destruction to residential homes” and “a popular market”, according to @Shahed_alep.
@HNMNEWS also stated that a “whole family” was crushed “under the rubble” following the airstrikes. Zaman Al Wasl added that Al Sha’ar had been subjected to constant air raids, which made it difficult for the Aleppo Free Police to carry out infrastructure projects to improve services.
