One unidentified woman was killed and dozens more civilians wounded in an airstrike on Rasim al Eis, according to sources on the ground. Most sources reported that Russian warplanes were responsible, however, Sky News was alone in blaming Syrian regime warplanes for the airstrike.
One source suggested that only two people were injured in the airstrike, however Sky News reported that medical sources informed them that “dozens of civilians arrived in the field hospitals following an aerial bombardment with cluster bombs which struck the village of Rasm al Eis in the southern countryside of Aleppo.”
Sources suggested that cluster bombs were used in the aerial bombardment, with one source calling it a rocket strike.
