At 5 a.m. on January 4th, 2019, an alleged Russian airstrike struck a farm in al-Mentar (Mazra’et Al Mentar) west of Khan Sheikhoun in the southern Idlib countryside, injuring seven people, including a child and two women from the village of Al-Jibin, according to local media.

Civil Defense Forces reportedly rescued the family that was trapped under the rubble of their house. According to Halab Today TV, the victims were Iraqi civilians.

Ziad al-Aboud, commander of the civil defense sector in Khan Sheikhoun, added that this attack was one of three airstrikes with high-explosive missiles launched by a Russian aircraft.

Shabab al latamna reported that the seven injured people belonged to Omar Al Nimer‘s family, and that they included two children and two women.
