Local media reported that between 10 and 15 civilians died and as many as dozens more were wounded in an airstrike on Ayyash village.

Multiple sources named the victims, 10 of whom were from the family of Khalaf Khader al-Faleh.

The Violations Documentation Centre also listed five unidentified adult males as killed, reportedly from Aleppo.

The majority of sources attributed the event to Russia, though the Syrian Network for Human Rights pointed to the Assad regime.

According to SN4HR, “at least 15 civilians including 10 children and three women killed when Syrian regime warplanes missiles fired on Ayyash village in Deir Ez-Zour governorate western suburbs, July 19, 2017.”
