One man was killed, and others were inured in shelling which struck Sabikhan. Neither sources named Russia as culpable, however Airwars understands Russian warplanes were bombing the vicinity at this period of time.
Additionally, Smart News reported that “civilians were killed and others injured on Sunday by an airstrike likely to be carried out by Russian warplanes on a village and a town in Deir al-Zour province, east of Syria, under the umbrella of the Islamic State.” The source continues to reported that “the aircraft bombed civilian houses in the town of Subikhan in the area of Al-Ashara (62 km east of Deir al-Zour), killing one man and injuring others”.
There was, according to local media, large destruction to civilian property.
