A total of four civilians including a child and two women were killed in raids by warplanes as well as artillery bombardments on the town of Jadid Bkara on September 28th, according to local sources. The reporting mentioned both the regime forces and the Russian forces as responsible for the bombardments.

According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, “at least 4 civilians, including a child and 2 women, killed in Syrian regime warplanes missiles fired on Jadid Bakara village in Deir Ez-Zour governorate eastern suburbs on September 27, 2017.”

However, Sharqiya Voice pointed to both the regime and Russia, reporting “four civilians were killed as a result of the aerial and artillery bombardment by the Russian Air Force and the regime security forces on the town of Jadid Bkara in the eastern countryside”.

Sharqiya Voice added that the bombardments should be seen in the context of a near-total exodus of civilians at that time from neighbouring villages of Al Dahla and Al Sabha towards the desert and other rural towns.
