As many as four civilians were killed, and five were wounded in airstrikes which struck civilian housing and a mosque in Abu Habba, according to local media. Sources were conflicted as to who was to blame. Most sources blamed Moscow, however some local media also blamed the Syrian regime. Additionally, one sources pointed to “military aircraft” therefore not attributing blame to a belligerent.

An image published shows members of the Syrian Civil Defence with the body of a civilian, who looks charred, in an ambulance.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that “Russian warplanes fired missiles on the mosque of Abu Habba village in Idlib governorate eastern suburbs, partially destroying its building and damaging its furniture”.

Other media reported that the worshippers were “deliberately targeted”.
