(Previous Incident Codes: R3609RS3822)

Four civilians were reportedly killed in alleged Russian airstrikes on Al-Lataminah, Hama governorate, on June 19th, 2019.

According to the Syrian Civil Defense, “four were killed by aerial bombardment of Al-Lataminah” – a figure also cited by Shaam News.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights wrote that “Ra’fat Kallal al Saleh al Hamada was killed as fixed-wing warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on Al-Lataminah town in Hama governorate northwestern suburbs, on June 19.” According to @shabablatamni, Al Saleh spent seven years in Syrian regime prisons since the start of the Syrian revolution in 2011.

The Syrian Human Rights Committee reported only one casualty, also naming Al Saleh as the victim.

Several sources reported that Russian warplanes hit the town with four consecutive airstrikes. @shabablatamni reported the use of concussion missiles, whereas Smart News Agency reported that mortar rockets were fired.

While Shaam News Network and the Syrian Civil Defence summarised the airstrikes by both the Syrian regime and Russia on Hama governorate on June 19th, all sources reporting on the specific incident blamed Russia for the airstrikes on Al-Lataminah. Hence, the civilian harm status of this incident is graded as fair.
