Between one and three civilians were killed in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on the town of Al Jiza, Dara’a governorate, on June 27th, 2018, according to local sources. Reportedly, the airstrikes targeted the field hospital in the town.

The Local Coordination Committees of Syria reported the “death of a civilian and injured others following Russian warplane raids on the town of Al Jiza in the eastern countryside [of Dara’a].” Shaam News Agency reported the death of three civilians due to Russian and Syrian regime airstrikes.

@HalabTodayTV reported that “four civilians, including a child, were killed by the regime’s and Russia’s airstrikes on the city of Harak and the towns of Jiza and Al Musifra in the eastern countryside of Dara’a”, but did not specify how many victims were killed in Al Jiza.

Alwan News reported that “the field hospitals in Saida, Al Masifra and Al Jiza, in the eastern countryside of Dar’aa, were discharged after being targeted by Russian warplanes with airstrikes.”

@OrientNews tweeted: “Russian occupation aviation renews its targeting of the towns of Jiza and Al Musifra by several airstrikes.” Bassam Al Deek wrote on Facebook that Russian aircraft carried out two raids on the town.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the incident took place in the morning.
