Airwars assessment
Two women and a child were injured in alleged Russian airstrikes on the village of Al Bawabiya between midnight and dawn on November 9th, 2019, according to local sources.
@ShahbaPress reported that “a child and two women were injured in airstrikes in Al Bawabiya town in southern Rif countryside at midnight” and Baladi News added that they were “seriously wounded”. The Syrian Civil Defence reported that the airstrikes targeted residential homes, while the Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that a medical facility was targeted.
A tweet by @Step_Agency reported “Russian warplanes targeted the town of Al-Bawabiya at dawn today, in conjunction with a flight of reconnaissance aircraft in the area”.
All of the sources that identified a culprit blamed the strikes on Russia.
The incident occured around midnight.

Reports of the incident mention the village of Al Bawabiya (البوابية), for which the generic coordinates are: 36.012468, 36.890289. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
