Between four and six civilians, including two women, were injured by Russian or regime forces on September 8/9, 2021.

According to @ajmurgent, five civilians were wounded, including a woman, in artillery shelling by the regime forces while a tweet from @mhmdfaisel put the injury toll at four.

A tweet from @thawrat111 listed the named of those injured: Ismail Mohamed Arian – 30 years old; Abdullah Kestan Ibn Mustafa; Abd al-Qadir al-Muna Ibn Muhammad (hand injury); Nuras Alnaayib – 36 years old (back injury); Wessal Sobhi Mlecho (face injury).

A post by @Jabal.Alzaweya.today added that Ahmed Al Naeb Ibn Anas was also injured and suffered a chest injury from the shelling.

Baladi News reported that six civilians, including a woman, were injured when more than five shells struck residential neighborhoods in Ariha after midnight Wednesday-Thursday. Two of the civilians with serious injuries were transferred to Bab Al-Hawa Hospital.

Sources were conflicted as to whether Russia, the regime, or Iran was responsible for the strikes. Baladi News pointed to the regime forces and the militias supporting them stationed in the city of Saraqib as being responsible for the shelling, adding that the shelling coincided with Russian reconnaissance of the area and the passage of several Turkish vehicles on the Aleppo-Lattakia International Highway.
