A young child was seriously wounded when alleged-SDF mortar shells struck the town of Thiban, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor on August 31st or September 1st, 2023.

Euphrates Post, who described the child as an infant, claimed the injury occurred when shells hit the child’s home. Multiple sources corroborate the SDF as the perpetrators, with Kabeltalbker Post and local reporters (@syrdrr1, @OmarAbdulaziz82) stating the shelling was “indiscriminate.”
