A 37 year-old woman named Marwa Ahmed al-Muati died on the morning of Tuesday September 12th 2023 as a result of injuries she reportedly sustained some days earlier, likely September 4th, when the city of Al Busayra, south-east of Dier ez-Zor, was allegedly shelled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Multiple sources reported that Marwa Ahmed al-Muati had been displaced from the city of Al-Qaryatayn, south of the Homs, with her husband and six children. @DeirEzzore reported that she had five children and claimed that the alleged bombing of Al Busayra took place on September 4th, eight days before she died. Other sources didn’t confirm what day the alleged bombing of Al Busayra took place.

According to a Facebook post by Sama Al Bou Rahma, Marwa and her husband were reportedly on their way to the hospital when she was struck and her husband was arrested.

All sources claimed SDF forces carried out the shelling.
