In an incident which may relate to incident CI143 – or was unknown to Airwars – the Coalition announced in January 2017 that it was investigating a possible civilian casualty event near Manbij almost 14 months earlier.

According to the statement “five reports of civilian casualties received in November are still being assessed… Sept. 20, 2015, near Mosul, Iraq.”
